Life lately...catching up

It's official...we have a crawler. And a fast one.

This picture was actually taken a couple of weeks ago when Brooke was rolling and scooting around the room, mostly backwards. The official start-to-crawl day was decided to be November 5th, when she started to put 1 leg in front of the other and actually went somewhere! Now, a couple weeks later she is getting much more efficient! She has been able to go from sitting to crawl, but today she just started going from crawling back to sitting. Now we seriously have to think about getting baby gates for the stairs...

And...this is what I saw when I went in to Brooke's room earlier today because she wasn't going to sleep at naptime. Who would...once you figure out how fun it is to kneel and bounce on the edge of your crib!?!

I remember this like it was yesterday - seeing Isaac (albeit a little bit younger) doing this same thing...so proud of himself. It's so funny how happy they both were with this new found skill!

And, now off to lower the mattress...

Leaves, Leaves, and more Leaves!

Earlier this week, Isaac and I enjoyed playing in the leaves in our backyard. We attemped to help out the cause. However, when "we" (meaning, Mike) actually gets down to business, it is going to be quite a job.

 

Shaving...already?!?

 So this AM, I knew Isaac was coloring with his markers...no biggie. I went upstairs for a brief time and came back down to find that he had "colored his face"! His explanation was that he "put it on so that he could shave it off" (reference his demonstration in the 2nd picture!). I guess he learned from watching his daddy shave earlier this week:) At least they were washables!
