Happy Halloween!

Well, another Halloween has come & gone! We lucked out - it was raining all day today, but this evening it stopped and we were able to head out for some trick-or-treating! Isaac has been super excited about Halloween and getting dressed up this year, which has been really fun. Brooke was hesitant to even get her costume on at first but she got the hang of it pretty quickly, especially when she realized candy was involved! It was funny to watch Brooke run just as fast as her little legs would move, trying to keep up with Isaac & Gavin...all the while, her tail flapping behind her!

Isaac went to pre-school today for his Halloween party & Ms. Taryn sent us this picture of Isaac and his "girlfriend" Anastasia...it's way too cute not to share! We were initially wondering why Isaac wanted to be Superman b/c he doesn't really know much about super heros. But, once we found out that Anastasia was going to be supergirl, we figured that was the reason. We still aren't sure who's idea it was!

Brooke's 1st time at the dentist!

Brooke had her 1st dentist appointment this week & it couldn't have gone any better. She sat on my lap for the cleaning, sat on Dr. Merchant's lap to check Isaac's teeth, and then she sat next to Isaac while Dr. Merchant checked her teeth, even saying "ahhh" when she asked her to. Isaac did great too & sets a perfect example for his little sister.

Remlinger Farms

This week I went with Isaac's pre-school class to Remlinger Farms, where the kids enjoyed activities like a play, feeding farm animals, playing in the hay pit & maze, train ride, and picking out their own pumpkins. He had a great time...he was so much more independent this year and it was so much fun to watch him run around with all of his friends!

Mt. Baker vacation

Last weekend we went on our annual trip with the DeLeons, Housers, & Stones, and stayed in a house close to Mt. Baker, about 2 hours from our house. 8 adults and 7 kids (all 5 yo and younger) made for some excitement! Thankfully we had a gorgeous 1st day and went on a hike from Artist Point to overlook the peaks of Mt Baker and Mt Shuksan. It was probably one of the most beautiful hikes we have ever been on, and we timed it perfectly to see all of the fall colors. It was rainy for the remainder of the weekend, but we still got out for some other hikes, went to the playground, and spent plenty of time in the hottub!

Isaac's swim lessons

Isaac has been in swim lessons over the past couple of months & is finally really starting to enjoy it. It is just Isaac and another 4-yr-old, Austin, in his class. He was moved up to the next level a couple of weeks ago b/c he dunks his face completely in the water and jumps in without holding hands! What a contrast to when he started & it was a struggle to even get him into the pool! Brooke has such a good time watching him and waves at him when he swims by on the kickboard!
