We have been SO excited for this past weekend for Grandy to come visit! He flew from TX with Nana & Papa to stay for a long weekend. We had absolutely gorgeous weather (Grandy was used to 90+ degree weather, so 60's and 70's were chilly!) and we took advantage of the sunshine. One day we ventured over to Seattle for breakfast with a stop for one of the best views in the city, and then went to Pike Place Market to get fresh fish for dinner. Another night we went out (sans kids) for a delicious meal, good stories (thanks, Grandy!) and view over Lake Washington. And then there was plenty of time for Isaac & Brooke to entertain everyone on their bikes, in the Jeep, and riding the zip line. Isaac & Brooke really soaked up all of the attention, as usual, and loved spending so much time with their great-grandfather (and Nana & Papa too)!
Overlooking Seattle and the Puget Sound at Kerry Park.
It was a little hazy that morning so you could only see the tip of Mt Rainier, but still a beautiful view.
At the market...
Riding bikes...
Isaac is pretty much riding his bike by himself these days, but just needs to work on his confidence. He turns around to make sure we are still holding on (when in fact most of the time we are not!). Brooke insists on "riding" her bike with Isaac. She stays on without help, and even though she can reach the pedals, she doesn't quite understand that she can actually move them:)
Mike took Grandy for a little ride...
| Of course, waving "good-bye"! |
Brooke & her babies...who have to go nearly EVERYWHERE with her these days!
Grandy had the kids (and Morris's) attention with his animal sounds and bird calls!
