Muddy mess!

Today was another beautiful day, so we took advantage of it by working outside in the yard. I went to the nursery in search of plants while Brooke was napping and Isaac was busy helping his Daddy in the yard. We had gotten a pile of dirt delivered earlier this week and these pictures give you an idea of what I came home to! And...it lasted for several hours! I have to admit, once I got over the shock at how dirty Brooke was, it was fun to see both Isaac & Brooke so uninhibited, and nice that they stayed entertained for so long! It's funny to see how different Brooke is compared to Isaac at the same age. As you can see, Brooke is not afraid to get a little (an understatement) dirt under her fingernails. Isaac continues to be such a good little helper...loading up his wheelbarrow with dirt and dumping it in the flower beds, gathering up rocks, and raking up the weeds.

A couple of days ago we put the training wheels and pedals on Isaac's bike & he has started riding it in circles around the patio. We haven't ventured out onto the street yet, as he isn't thrilled with the bike helmet, but it's great to see him enjoying his "big boy" bike so far!
