Another "nastics" comes to an end

So, once again, gymnastics comes to an end. We have done at least 5 sessions over the past couple of years...we started in a parent-and-tot class, and the past 2 sessions Isaac has been in the "Bees" class all by himself! His buddy Andre joined him in the adventure this time around. It has been a lot of fun watching him learn & grow...at first he was extremely timid, but he really gained a lot of skills & confidence. However, I have to be honest, the past few weeks have been frustrating b/c Isaac has been in some sort of funk and has not wanted to participate. Before this, he absolutely loved gymnastics! His favorite activity has been the trampoline and the tumble track (a long trampoline that you run on & land onto a huge mat). He has learned how to hang on the bars, do a "donkey kick", a handstand against the wall, walk on the low beam all by himself, & do a sumersault almost by himself! He can also demonstrate his pike, straddle, and tuck sitting positions! Today was actually the first day he enjoyed JUMPING into the foam pit (of course, on the last day!)! I know I'm bragging, but I'm a proud mommy! So...onto the next thing. Isaac will start preschool in August, so we will see if we want to continue with gymnastics or maybe, just maybe, we'll branch out to another activity!

"Ta-da!"
