So, first of all, FINALLY we bid farewell to Isaac's "stinky bear"! This is both good & bad. It all started earlier this week when I had to take the stuffing out of his head because there was a hole...Isaac threw the stuffing in the garbage & then it was his idea to throw stinky bear away in the "garbage in the garage"....so, that's what we did. I explained that he would go "bye bye" and he wouldn't be able to see him again, and Isaac said he was okay with it. This is the good thing. The bad thing is that with the exception of a short nap yesterday, he had not napped in 4 days & bedtime is no longer a simple task. Uggghhh! We have to resist the urge to give "stinks" back to him just to avoid the hassle (yes, of course I dug him out of the garbage!), but hopefully the worst of it is over (fingers crossed). Those of you who have had stinky thrown in your face at one time or another will be very happy you don't have to endure that any more!
As for other updates...Brooke seems to be growing every day. She still sleeps a lot during the day, and although it's sometimes tough to get her to go to bed, she typically only wakes up 1x at night! And...she has finally started to smile!
Isaac continues to be the sweetest big brother & likes to imitate me. He has been really interested in his 2 teddy bears, "Teds" and "Blue bear" (real original names, I know). The other day he took Teds with us in the car, and I look back and he had Teds laying sideways on his lap. He said that Teds was "eating his boobie" and then that his "tummy was full"...and then he burped him! I couldn't help but laugh! He is so independent, wanting to do things like feed Morris and take his shoes/coat of "all by Isaac self"...and he gets really worked up if we try to help him. He is CONSTANTLY talking and says the funniest things. We really have to watch what we say because he repeats after us! He loves reading books, lining up his chairs and having a "party" with his bears, wearing his boots and helping daddy outside, playing with his tools & cars, washing his hands, coloring (unfortunately this includes on the couch & leather ottoman with pen), and kissing "Brooke-ee" on the mouth.
