Texas trip

It has been a busy week with putting our house on the market (yikes...I've never cleaned so much in my life!), so that's my excuse for taking so long to update the blog this time:) Isaac & I braved some serious heat in Texas a couple of weeks ago to visit Grandy for his 85th birthday. Despite "a bit" (which is an understatement) of separation anxiety issues with Isaac if I would get too far away, we had a really great visit with Grandy, Nana & Papa, and the Geers clan. We spent some refreshing time at the pool each day - I was so impressed with Tyler & Ryan, who are like fish in water, but equally as proud of our timid little Isaac when he would simply tip off the edge of the pool like Humpty Dumpty and walk to me in the shallow end "all by Isaac self". He learned a new saying while doing this, thanks to Nana... "whoa baby"! He has become quite the independent little boy, getting very bent out of shape if we, for instance, take off his shoes or put him in the carseat when he would prefer to do it himself. He continues to love playing with his cars and trucks the most, but lately has been really into dinasaurs and helping me water the plants.

Tyler's face says it all...over 100 degrees!

Uncki Kevin, showing us all how to do a flip...
