Happy Birthday Isaac!

So, I'm a bit late with this post, but it's been a busy couple of weeks! It's hard to believe that our little boy turned 2...it has been quite a year! He brings us so much joy & laughter everyday. He lives for his stinky bear (yes, still), wearing his "gasses", and playing with anything with wheels...he always has to bring "a couple cars" with him anywhere we go. He is a sweet little boy, quick to give a hug, kiss or "five", but also quick to wave and say, "bye bye, see ya" when anyone is heading out the door. He is extremely meticulous (parking his cars in straight lines & cleaning up after himself...remind you of anyone?!?!) and is becoming Mr. Independent, wanting to walk everywhere and brush his teeth & wash his hands by himself. He throws quite a tantrum if things don't go his way (like when it's Mommy's turn to brush his teeth or it's time to park his lawn mower to come inside). Fortunately, these tantrums are few and far between. He is becoming more daring and loves to jump off the footstool or dive onto the couch, not afraid to use poor Morris as a footstool to get back up and do it all over again. It has been an amazing journey so far, and we can't wait to see what the next year will bring...

Beware...many pics to follow (I'm trying to catch up!). Nana & Papa were in town for Mother's Day & to celebrate Isaac's birthday. We had a wonderful time - Isaac was thoroughly entertained by his new train table & had a wonderful time with all of his friends at his birthday party. We had a delicious breakfast on Mother's Day & spent the afternoon at Gas Works Park, Nana & Papa joined us at swimming class, and we went out to a couple of really great dinners. Dad was back later in the week on a layover to join us for "nastics"!

Swim class - initially Isaac wasn't too keen on the idea of falling off the wall into the water like Humpty Dumpty (hence the terrified look in the 1st pic), but realized it was kinda fun once he got used to it!

Showing off for Papa at gymnastics...

Look, I'm wearing Daddy's shoes!
