We started off the festivities on Christmas Eve with some cookie decorating and writing a letter to Santa in preparation for that evening. The Housers joined us for Christmas Eve dinner, Mike read "Twas the night before Christmas" as usual before bedtime, and Isaac set out his favorite cookies for Santa and carrots for Rudolph.
Christmas morning...Santa was here! And...Santa brought Isaac the much anticipated parking garage that he has been asking for for months! Although Santa's elves didn't completely finish the job and left some trim pieces for Daddy to finish up, Isaac was absolutely thrilled with it! Isaac piled in all of the presents that he could possibly fit into it throughout the morning! After seeing what Santa brought, we took a break for breakfast, and then opened the rest of our presents...we are so blessed! Isaac had so much fun opening up his presents and helping all of us open ours as well. Quite a contrast from last year when he was careful not to rip the paper!
