Brooke is incredibly sweet (I'm biased, I know)...her smile & her big blue eyes make us melt. She is very even-tempered and relatively quiet, just taking it all in. However, you know she is excited when she breaths quickly through her teeth (4 of them now...2 up & 2 bottom) & kicks her legs wildly. Some of her favorite activities these days...she loves to go "weeee" in the air, bounce up & down on our laps, put anything she can find in her mouth, and look at herself in the mirror. She loves bathtime & doesn't mind water on her face (unlike her big bro). She just recently figured out how much fun splashing in the water is, making bathtime a much wetter activity than I'm used to! She loves when Isaac comes into her room to be the 1st to greet her in the morning and gets so excited to see him when we pick him up from pre-school. She is quite a hit with all of the other kids as well - they always want to come up and talk to "the baby", which makes it quite difficult to get out the door sometimes!
As for what she is up to currently - she is rolling all over the place, especially in her crib after she wakes up and reaches for her little bunny blankets & stuffed puppy, flinging them all around. On her stomach, she straightens her arms to push up and look around, but hasn't yet figured out how to get her knees underneath her. She will stay briefly on her hands & knees if I help her there, but then she flops quickly back to her tummy. She stands when we hold her hands & sits like a champ now. She reaches as far as she possibly can for her toys, but won't put in too much effort...if they are too far away, she will turn her attention elsewhere or whine until someone moves them closer...she has it figured out! As for eating - she isn't too picky of an eater & is starting to eat some finger foods, her favorites being the little puffs, Mum-Mums, pancakes, blueberries, or smashed up bananas. She drinks water from a sippy (with some help holding it) and is a pro with the bottle...which is a HUGE difference from a month ago when we were struggling with this.
Nicknames for our little girl..."Brooke-a-dee", "Brooke-a-dee-doo", "Sprockets" (don't ask me why!?!) and Isaac's new-found-fav, "Tiny". She goes easily down for naps (10 am & 2 pm) and bedtime (6:30 pm) & has been sleeping through the night consistently for the past couple of weeks - this isn't the 1st time she has slept through the night, but it has been off & on before now. She is such a little snuggler, which I love & am trying to cherish, as I know it won't last forever. She flops her head (literally) on our shoulder when we sing "Itsy Bitsy Spider" before naptime. So sweet.
