Visit with Nana & Papa

It was great to have Nana & Papa visiting over this past week...Nana watched Isaac while I was at work a couple of days, we ventured out to the zoo & the park, went to dinner downtown, chilled on the patio with gorgeous weather, and we even put them to work on their 34th wedding anniversary! Isaac started taking some more courageous steps earlier last week & is walking across the house now on his own...getting better by the day. He enjoys walking back and forth between 2 people with his mouth open & squealing the entire time.

As for other recent activities...he loves to mimic us - for example, he makes a coughing noise after we cough, he'll laugh and say "hee, hee, hee", making clicking noises with his mouth, and saying "ughhh" when he throws his ball. He loves to lift up his shirt to look at his belly, and even likes to lift up our shirts to find our bellies! He points at everything and says something like "hee-aw", will go retrieve things and bring them to you (his favorite is his firetruck, ducky, or "ba") ,and has started to show off his fine motor skills by carefully placing little stacker blocks on a pole. Finally, he is TOTALLY obsessed with "da da" and says his name & looks for him ALL of the time...it's really sweet.

At the zoo...

...look at that belly!

Phew. Isaac agrees...it was a rough day.
