Hiking Mount Si

Isaac went for his 2nd hike this past weekend at Mount Si, which is about 45 min east of Seattle. It was the perfect way to spend a sunny day, along with the Houser clan (including Masara) and Morris. It is a steep 4 mile climb to the top, and we were all happy to make it about 3 miles prior to turning around to head for dinner & beers. Mike carried Isaac most of the way up, and I had the heavy load on the way down. Isaac was so good - he loved to touch the bark on the trees, he was babbling the whole time, and was cracking us up with his dance moves at dinner (sprinkler, anyone?!?!).

I know it's been a while for updates (sorry!), so as for Isaac news these days - his mode of transportation continues to be crawling...although he loves to walk by holding onto our hands, and can really cruise around pushing onto his walker (until he bumps into furniture or the wall). He says "go, go go" when he rolls his cars & trucks around, and he says "woof" when we ask him what sound a dog makes and puts his hands in the air for "so big", both with a little bit of coaxing. He loves to drink water from his sippy cup all by himself & will eat almost anything that we put in front of him. He loves cheese, bread, and any fruit, especially blueberries & strawberries. Recently he even recently gobbled down some pork! He thoroughly enjoys sharing his food with Morris & sometime will look up at us and say "no, no no" right before he launches his food to the ground! Also, I think it's official - he's a one napper these days, sometimes snoozing for 2 1/2 -3 hours at a time! Mike & I are having so much fun with him lately - he is so entertaining and it's amazing to watch him learn and figure things out...
